A small amount of two-bedroom homes are currently available at Nightingale Preston. Enquire here.

Nightingale Preston is part of the broader Preston Crossing precinct. The area delivers a new residential village within the Bell Station area, part of the City of Darebin’s commitment to deliver vibrant, attractive, energised, and interesting mixed-tenure precincts, providing a wide range of building typologies and associated spaces.

Strategically located at the corner of Oakover Road and Railway Place West, Nightingale Preston is designed in three parts to acknowledge three aspects of local history. At ground floor, carbon-neutral brickwork nods to Preston’s residential past. The middle of the building features a precast fluted concrete facade and saw-tooth roofline, referencing Preston’s industrial past. The building is split in two, creating a ‘green spine’ in the middle for vegetation to grow and to allow fresh air to circulate through the building, representing Preston’s drive for amenity in the way of parks and open spaces.

The ballot process

On this page you can submit your ballot for a home at Nightingale Preston.

Information and pricing for the homes currently available can be found in the Resident Information Pack below. You can also watch the recordings of our information sessions held last year.

Why are these homes available now?
The ballot for Nightingale Preston was held in November 2021, at which point 100% of homes were allocated to purchasers. This included a selection of homes that were pre-allocated for community housing, with the provider to be confirmed at a later date.

Due to recent challenges affecting the building industry as a result of the pandemic, it is unfortunately no longer feasible for Nightingale to partner with a community housing provider on this occasion, and we have made the decision to allocate the homes to owner-occupiers instead.

The inclusion of community housing in our projects is an incredibly important part of the Nightingale approach — for our team, for the people who purchase Nightingale homes and for neighbouring communities. The Preston Crossing project includes a social housing development and we are pleased that affordable housing will be made available to the community within the precinct.
