Ernesto Pees on Tings opens at Nightingale Wurru wurru biik

In August, the ground floor of Nightingale Wurru wurru biik came alive with the opening of Ernesto Pees on Tings, a photographic exhibition celebrating the quirky, heartfelt, and sometimes cryptic messages Ernesto has left across Brunswick and beyond.

Lovingly captured by Vincent Ward and produced in collaboration with neighbour Brunswick Print Lab, the exhibition gathered hundreds of Ernesto’s messages in one space for the very first time. Residents, neighbours, kids and dogs (including Ernesto himself) filled the room, wandering through the collection and sharing in the delight of seeing Ernesto's messages side by side.

It was a joyful evening that showed the power of art to bring people together and reminded us of the playful ways our streets, and four legged friends, speak to us. Congratulations to Vincent and the Brunswick Print Lab on a wonderful exhibition.
