Nightingale Village wins Premier's Sustainability Award

Nov 23, 2023

Last night, Sustainability Victoria held the annual Premier’s Sustainability Awards at ACMI. Trailblazers from industry, businesses, government, charities, social enterprises and not-for-profits were recognised for their dedication to Victoria’s transition to a circular, climate-resilient economy.

Nightingale Village received the Sustainable Places: Industry Leader award and applause goes to the six architects who were tireless in their efforts to create the incredible precinct in Duckett Street, Brunswick that we enjoy today. Congratulations Architecture architecture, Austin Maynard Architects, Breathe, Clare Cousins Architects, Hayball and Kennedy Nolan as well as all the collaborators, partners, supporters and residents at Nightingale Village.

Nightingale Village is 100% electric and includes 203 homes across 6 buildings, with 8 commercial street-level tenancies and 27 homes allocated to community housing providers ahead of public sales. The precinct also includes 17 small-footprint Teilhaus homes and just 20 car spaces reserved for share cars including two electric vehicles.
