Our Sustainable Buildings Policy

Environmental sustainability has always been a central pillar of our mission here at Nightingale. We are a proud signatory to the WGBC Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment. As part of the building and construction sector, which is globally responsible for 38% of energy-related carbon emissions, we make it a priority to reduce this impact wherever possible, across all our operations. 

In collaboration with Breathe, we’ve recently formalised our sustainability goals into an organisational policy. Referring specifically to the delivery of Nightingale buildings, the Sustainable Buildings Policy details how environmental concerns influence our decisions and designs, and also identifies our goals and areas for growth.

Nightingale Housing is located on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri/Woiwurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to Elders both past and present, and recognise and respect their abiding connection to this land, its waterways and community. We also acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country on which we meet and work throughout Australia.
